Consumers are harmed when multinational corporations conspire to manipulate competition among themselves. Gancedo & Nieves works hand-in-hand with Attorneys General throughout the nation to rectify competitive abuses.

We represented consumers in such an action against the world's larger retailer, Toys "R" Us. This case resulted in a settlement valued in excess of $50 million to consumers. Gancedo & Nieves also represents the interest of purchasers in ongoing class action litigation against the five largest U.S. distributors of recorded music for alleged price fixing. Our suit on behalf of consumers alleges that five major distributors conspired to raise, fix and maintain artificially high prices in violation of the Federal Sherman Antitrust Act. The FTC estimates that U.S. consumers may have paid as much as $480 million more than they should have for CDs and other recorded music.
